David Bonney
Who am I ?

I've been living on Sydneys' Northern Beaches now for over 30 years. My sporting background prior to the beaches move was predominately Football, playing semi professional for the club known as Macarthur Rams for over 13 years.
I've been a active member of the Manly Allambie United Football club as player, coach and committee since 1994. As a coach, in 2007 our AL1 squad won the AL-1 League of the MWFA without losing a game and was promoted to the MWFA Premier League. In 2008 and 2009 the squad made the Semi Finals in that league. I was fortunate to be voted Premier League Coach of the year in the MWFA in both those years.
In 2012 I discovered life outside of football with a new found love of Obstacle Course racing, that also went hand in hand with Trail running. In the last 10 years I have competed in many events, with the majority of them completed, with a 'I'm there to complete, not to compete' attitude. These events include but obviously not limited to :
- Over 25 Spartan Obstacle Races, including 4 Ultrabeasts (42km 70+ obstacles each), with 2 of those in Hawaii on the same weekend
- 1 x 100km UTA Trail, 3 x 50km UTA 50km Trail and 3 Buffalo Sky Marathons (42km)
- 6 True Grit 24 hour Australian Enduro events with various results and a 3rd place in age group in 2021 covering nearly 90km
As someone who has always pushed hard to be as fit as I can, I gave up the corporate life in 2018 and having previously qualified as a
Fitness trainer with Cert 3 and Cert 4 qualifications, made the move into small group fitness in late 2018.
In 2019 I commenced working with Seniors groups contracted to NSW Health coaching with the Healthy Lifestyle program.
I am very passionate about fitness as we age, and also very committed to providing a fitness program that suits my clients. Those clients that I have worked with over time, will also vouch for the flexibility in the programming as well as commitment from myself to making them a fitter, healthier person.
